Introducing the union.
Our Echizen lacquer ware production center, which has grown to have a market share of over 80% nationwide in the manufacture of commercial lacquer ware (lacquer ware used in hotels, restaurants, etc.), is located in Sabae City, Fukui Prefecture, and has been used as a traditional technique for about 1500 years. It has been supported and developed. It is counted as one of the three local industries represented by Sabae City's local industry, eyeglass frames and textiles.
Not to mention the efforts of our predecessors, as a local industry, the Echizen Shikki production area has grown with the great support of the Kawada area, and has become an indispensable industry in the area.
We are integrated into our daily lives, and our users produce everything from lacquer ware that is not conscious of it to traditional crafts that give peace of mind.
In addition to daily necessities such as bowls and chopsticks, it is now possible to lacquer floats used at various festivals in Japan.

Main efforts of the union
We strive to be useful as a production center association that can respond to the diversifying changes of the times, from wooden lacquer ware made by traditional techniques to those manufactured using modern methods of resin products such as commercial lacquer ware. increase.
While carefully preserving traditional techniques, we are using traditional techniques as a pillar to guide and nurture lacquer ware that meets the needs of the times.
うるしの木植栽
越前漆器協同組合では平成28年からうるしの木の植栽を行っています。年間約1000本のうるしの木を植栽し、10年間で1万本のうるしの木を植えていきます。
越前漆器展覧会の開催
越前漆器の職人たちがつくった漆器が展示され、審査員によって審査が行われます。
高い技術の継承を目指し毎年開催されています。
学校給食用食器の開発・製造
平成16年1月より、鯖江市の小学校2校へ給食椀（木製漆塗椀）が導入され、現在は鯖江市の全ての小学校へ導入されています（全学年木製漆器導入校は４校）。当組合で平成13年度より研究開発を重ね、食器洗浄器、消毒保管庫に対応する木製漆塗椀を完成させました。
今まで、木製漆塗椀は通常食器洗浄乾燥機には不向きとされていましたが画期的な開発となりました。独自の漆や製造方法により洗浄乾燥機に対応し、煮沸試験やモニター試験を実施し導入となりました。
また、現在では新しく樹脂食器においても開発・試験を終了し、販売を始めています。
山車の漆塗り
国内の様々な地域で行われている祭り用の山車に対して漆塗りを行っています。
また、企業や施設のエントランスホールなどに設置できる装飾用の小型山車も製造し納品しています。
展示会の出展・需要開拓
インターナショナル・ギフトショーに出展を行っています。
新製品の展示を行うことにより新規市場の開拓、新規顧客開拓を行っています。
Union history
Entering the 21st century, the lifestyles, cultures, and customs around us are undergoing major changes in the turmoil of not only Japan but also the international community.
Under such circumstances, members of the Echizen Lacquerware Cooperative are also working on the development of designs and products that suit modern styles.
今立郡漆器業組合設立
明治33年3月福井県今立郡河和田村片山区にはじめて組合が設立されました。初代理事長は林治平（画像）。
組合設立の目的は工賃の協定と漆器製品の粗製濫造の防止などでした。
越前漆器協同組合に改組
1945年7月に越前漆器協同組合に改組。
経済産業省から伝統的工芸品に認定される
1975年4月、通商産業省告示第174号により、伝統的工芸品として大阪通産局管内で第1号の指定を受けました。
越前漆器伝統産業会館完成
越前漆器の技術継承、後継者育成の拠点として建設されました。1980年4月完成。
うるしの里会館落成式
2005年4月 事務所、ミュージアムショップ、産業振興ホールなどを改築し、うるしの里会館という愛称の元で越前漆器のPR拠点として新しく出発しました。
越前塗山車・山車会館完成
2012年9月 越前塗山車及び山車会館が完成しました。木地・彫刻は井波彫刻協同組合の協力を得て2010年から製作、越前漆器協同組合にて下地・塗り、ろ色、蒔絵・沈金の作業をおこない約3年をかけて完成しました。
越前漆器協同組合設立110周年記念式典・祝賀会開催
2013年10月 うるしの里会館にて越前漆器協同組合110周年記念式典が行われました。
越前漆器伝統的工芸品指定４０周年記念式典
越前漆器が1985年に経済産業省の伝統的工芸品に指定されてから2015年で40年となりました。
三田村有純氏に「漆とジャパンが創る未来」という題目で記念講演をしていただきました。
