The "Urushi no Sato Kaikan (Sabae City Echizen Lacquerware Traditional Industry Center)" established by Sabae City is managed and operated by the Echizen Lacquerware Cooperative Association as a designated manager.

Echizen Shikki has a major feature in the production process.
That is, the division of labor system has been established in the entire production area, and we are specialized in the work of various processes such as substrate preparation, painting, and decoration. This leads to stable quality such as beauty and robustness, and high production capacity.
In addition to traditional wooden lacquer ware, we are also actively working to provide consumers with cheaper and more durable products using synthetic resin materials and chemical paints.
Currently, most of the lacquer ware used in the food service field is made of synthetic resin, but 80 to 90% of it is produced in the production area of Echizen lacquer ware.

From wooden lacquer ware made by traditional techniques to those manufactured using modern methods of resin products such as commercial lacquer ware, we strive to be useful as a production center association that can respond to the diversifying changes of the times. doing.
While carefully preserving traditional techniques, we are using traditional techniques as a pillar to guide and nurture lacquer ware that meets the needs of the times.
